America's Next Top Model Cycle 19 CASTING (COLLEGE EDITION) in MOBILE ALABAMA

Although I am not home to go to the casting call personally, I definitely have to inform those who reside in my hometown about the awesome opportunity.

ATTENTION LADIES who are 5'7 or taller, residing in Mobile, Alabama, or the surrounding area (i.e, Pensacola, Florida OR Biloxi, Mississippi) Today AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will be holding a casting call in Mobile, AL for CYCLE 19 ( college EDITION)

Therefore you must be enrolled in some type of higher institution of learning. Almost any school is acceptable, a regular 4 year university, grad school, law school, cosmetology, pre med, dentistry, or tech school.

The casting will be going on today March 9, 2012 from 10am til 4pm at Mark Dodge on government st.

BRANDY (TWO ELEVEN)

Brandy Rayana Norwood has always been one of my favorite SINGERS and actresses. I grew up on Brandy and her character Moesha. Basically when I was a young girl I considered Brandy to be like the Big Sister I never had. I felt this way because I was the oldest of 10 kids on my mother side, so I never had an older sibling to look up to. I loved Brandy's style, voice, and her personality. Last but not least I loved her BRAIDS.

BRANDY will be releasing her 6th album June of 2012. She recently has announced that the title of her new album will be (TWO-ELEVEN). Two Eleven is significant to Brandy because it is her birthday and the day that her mentor the late Whitney Houston passed away. Brandy is dedicating her album to THE VOICE herself. Whitney and Brandy were extremely close, so close that a few days before Whitney passed she crashed an interview Brandy and Monica were doing with E! and gave Brandy a secret note.

America's Next Top Model Cycle 18

The 18th cycle of America's Next Top Model premiered on February 29, 2012. This cycle features 7 new American girls who have never been on the show who will compete against 7 UK contestant who all have previous experience in Britain's Next Top Model. The first photo shoot consisted of the each of the girls portraying a famous influential person from there native land. The best photo of the week went to the FIERCELY REAL AMERICAN SEYMONE.

Of course I immediately chose my favorites which consists of AzMarie, Eboni, Alisha, Jasmia, Seymone, Candace, and Annaliese. All of the girls are fabulous and have such unique personalities, I can definitely tell this season will be interesting. Unfortunately one of my favorites Jasmia, was eliminated first. The final standings after episode 1 is America 7 Britain loses one and now has 6. I am excited for this season and look forward to what there is to come.

DISNEY DRAMA!!!

Disney has a new candy out called DIG n DIPS. This new candy has been very controversial with two of the Disney Princesses being featured on the packages with an affiliated flavor. The issue arises when Sleeping Beauty is tagged with VANILLA while Princess Tiana is associated with watermelon.

Over the years a stereotype associated with African Americans has been that we favor Watermelon. Although this may be true, this Disney production has stirred up quite some controversy and some people feel as if Disney is mocking the black race. What do you think about Disney choosing to associate Tiana with watermelon instead of other popular red flavors, such as strawberry and cherry. PLEASE COMMENT
