Dirty Laundry "Kelly Rowland"

We are all faced with different challenges in every area of our life. No one is exempt from the UPS AND DOWNS that life throws our way not even celebrities such as " KELENDRIA ROWLAND ", known to us as Miss Kelly Rowland.

On May 15, 2013 Kelly released her newest single called "Dirty Laundry" from her upcoming album "Talk A Good Game " It was not the usual sexually related song that we have come accustomed to expect from Ms. Rowland, but instead this song had a story, a very painful one. This song ROCKED the music industry, and the lyrics brought me to tears. I literally cried when I realized what exactly she endured. I am a huge fan of Kelly and to know that she went through something like this is quite mind boggling, but then again we should not be surprised. Women are strong and go through some of the toughest things that life can throw our way. Sometimes behind a pretty smile there lies a really hurt broken girl, who eventually picks herself back up and moves on.

In the song Kelly reveals some personal information to us and really washes her hands clean of all the DIRTY LAUNDRY that she has been keeping to herself all these years.  From the lyrics she sings she gives us many clues as to when she endured the abuse and who it possibly was. She sings

When you’re soaked in tears for years, it never airs out
When you make pain look this good it never wears out"

Kelly made pain look absolutely fabulous, no one can say that they really saw this coming. She hid the pain very well.

"While my sister was on stage, killing it like a motherf-cker
I was enraged, feeling it like a motherf-cker"

"Went out separate ways, but I was happy she was killing it
Bittersweet, she was up, I was down
No lie, I feel good for her, but what do I do now?"

If you know Kelly then you know that the sister she is referring to would be none other than the one and only Beyonce Knowles. They really are basically sisters, since Beyonce's parents ( Tina and Matthew Knowles) became Kelly's legal guardians when she was 11.

"And it’s almost been a decade
I’m behind them black shades"

Initially everyone thought that Kelly's abuser was her ex fiancĂ© Roy Williams. Roy took to twitter to clear his name and wrote the following post and retweet which also hints who Kelly's abuser was.

The following tweets states

"see I thought CUDA not you" , the writer @StilettoJill states that she thought the abuser was Cudda Love and not Roy Williams. Roy responds with BINGO thats not my place to speak, which hints to us who the abuser was.

When Kelly mentions that its been almost a decade, I am instantly able to determine the time period this all happens. She released Dirty Laundry May 15, 2013, more than likely this song was recorded in 2012. A decade ago was 2002, at that time in Kelly's career she released Dilemma which feature rapper Nelly. Around this time period Kelly was hanging around Nelly and his crew a lot and got involved with Nelly's manager/bodyguard Cudda Love.

“Don’t nobody love you but me
Not your mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey”
He turned me against my sister
I missed ya"

This dude CUDDA was a COLD COLD COLD person, to have said such things to Kelly. He really must have had a hold over her if he could have turned her against Bey. But thankfully she bounced back from that and got out of that crazy situation. Unfortunately Cudda Love is said to be deceased and no longer with us, so he can't even speak on what exactly happened. I am happy Kelly was brave enough to take that step, and sing about her painful past.

Also my friend Briana pointed out that the songs by Destiny's Child, GIRL and BAD HABIT are possibly based around Kelly. Bad habits chorus states

I told myself that I would make some changes
But the more I change there's one thing that remains the same
I can't seem to shake ya
You seem to really have a hold on me
And everytime that we break up
We turn around and make up
This can't go on now
I gotta move on now
It's not the fact that I don't love you no more
But I gotta break this bad habit
Can't take his bad habit no more

While girl states the following

See What You All Don't Know About Him
Is I Can't Let Him Go Because He Needs Me
It Ain't Really Him It's Stress From His Job
And I Ain't Making It Easy
I Know You See Him Bugging On Me Sometimes
But I Know Deep Inside He Don't Mean It
It Gets Hard Sometimes
But I Need My Man
I Don't Think You all Understand
I'm Telling You

I can not believe we had the evidence and the clues all these years and we are just now putting the pieces together, Im happy that Kelly eventually realized her self worth and moved on. WE LOVE YOU KELLY

Check out the song below.

Dirty Laundry lyrics by Kelly Rowland.
[Chorus]
Let’s do this dirty laundry, this dirty laundry
Let’s do this dirty laundry, this dirty laundry
When you’re soaked in tears for years, it never airs out
When you make pain look this good it never wears out
This dirty laundry, this dirty laundry

[Verse 1]
While my sister was on stage, killing it like a motherf-cker
I was enraged, feeling it like a motherf-cker
Bird in a cage, you would never know what I was dealing with
Went out separate ways, but I was happy she was killing it
Bittersweet, she was up, I was down
No lie, I feel good for her, but what do I do now?
Forget the records
Off the record, I was going through some bullshit
Post-survivor, she on fire, who wanna hear my bullshit?
Meanwhile, this nigga putting his hands on me
I swear y’all don’t know the half of this industry

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
And it’s almost been a decade
I’m behind them black shades
Roll up like it’s all good, right up out that escalade
Fix my make-up, “get it together, Kelly, get it together”
Then we make up, “well get it together, nigga, get it together”
Kinda lucky, I was in her shadow
Phone call from my sister, “what’s the matter?”
She said, “Oh no, baby - you gotta leave!”
I’m on the kitchen floor - he took the keys
I was mad at everybody, I mean everybody
Yeah, her, her, her her everybody
Five years later, I got my shit down pat
Think I had it good, and they don’t know how bad
Fooled everybody, except myself
Soaking in this hurt, bathing in the dirt

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
So here I am in the spin cycle
We’re comin and we’re goin
Nobody can know this
And I was trapped in his house, lyin’ to my mama
Thought it could get no worse as we maximize the drama
Started to call them people on him
I was battered
He hittin the window like it was me, until it shattered
He pulled me out, he said, “Don’t nobody love you but me
Not your mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey”
He turned me against my sister
I missed ya

[Chorus]

Lauryn Hill is back

She's BACK,

Okay everyone remain calm, stay seated, no need to hit any backwards flips or anything, but I come bearing amazing news. Our soul sistah Lauryn Hill has released a new track through itunes on 4 May 2013. No one was expecting her to release new music this fast, especially on a random saturday. This is her first solo track since 2010's Repercussions. Miss Lauryn Hill is not playing any games about her new music, she's ready to make this money and make her comeback.

We all have heard that Lauryn has had some issues with not paying taxes, and faces tax fraud charges. Therefore she's decided to make money the best way she knows how, and has made her to return to the music industry. Lauryn has a strong fan base, so wondering whether or not people will buy the single should not be a worry. The new track features Lauryn rapping to a futuristic beat about today's society and she's holding nothing back.

Hill released a statement today saying

"Here is a link to a piece that I was ‘required’ to release immediately, by virtue of the impending legal deadline," Hill wrote on her tumblrhttp://mslaurynhill.tumblr.com in regards to the new song. "I love being able to reach people directly, but in an ideal scenario, I would not have to rush the release of new music… but the message is still there. In light of Wednesday’s tragic loss (of former label mate Chris Kelly), I am even more pressed to YELL this to a multitude that may not understand the cost of allowing today’s unhealthy paradigms to remain unchecked!"

Check out her new single below Neurotic Society

Beyonce's Pepsi *MIRRORS/GROWN WOMAN* Commercial

Today is an exciting day for me only because I'm a BeyStan. Today marks 5 years of Beyonce's and Jayz's union together. I'm a huge Bey fan and basically I just tolerate JayZ. Beyonce loves to tease her fan, I swear she does. This morning at 9am eastern time, Beyonce released her newest Pepsi Commercial.

This commercial is absolutely amazing. I'm not even being over the top at the moment. This video truly shows how amazing Bey really is and it shows us how versatile she is. The commercial starts off with her practicing a new dance routine. She then seems a bit frustrated and proceeds to take a break and have a drink of Pepsi

* honestly no one drinks Pepsi in the middle of rehearsal, that is so unrealistic*
(But back to Bey)

While she is drinking the Pepsi, she notices a reflection of herself dressed in the attire from her Bootylicious video. It is a pink 70s looking outfit. Immediately behind her in another mirror she sees herself from her "Crazy In Love" video dressed in red pumps, blue jeans shorts and a white tank top. And then to the left she she's herself in her "Single Ladies" attire, which consist of a black leotard, her signature single ladies hump, and her mettalic silver/golden hand.

After this scene her and all the Beyonce's from the past proceed to dance to a new routine, while also doing the routines from there prescribed video. The dance also continues on with other past looks of Beyonce to include, Deja Vu, Love On Top, and Work It Out.  The commercial ends with Beyonce saying

"Embrace your past but live for now"

The song that was playing in this video, will more than likely be a single on Beyonce's next album, and I am already in love with this song. Honestly this commercial did not focused on Pepsi, it was soley centered around Beyonce, which i have no gripes and complaints about it, and I look forward to the release of the entire single and Bey's newest album. BEYHIVE stand up, keep doing great things Beyonce, and have fun in CUBA (yeah i know where she's at for her anniversary, what type of STAN wouldnt know)

NEW BEYONCE MUSIC BowDown-Ive Been On

Beyonce decides to drop us some samples of music from her upcoming album. She released the music along with a picture of her during her pageant days, that states BOW DOWN. Beyonce is reminding us that she's still the number 1 female in the game.

Bow Down, starts off with simple lyrics, talking about Beyonce's hometown Houston (H-TOWN).
"Dont get it twisted it's my sh*t Bow Down bitches"

The usage of the word bitches caught me off guard, but I already know it is something I will be singing along with

I know when you were little girls, you dreamed of being in my world
Don’t forget it, don’t forget it, Respect that, Bow down b-tches
I took some time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife
Don’t get it twisted, get it twisted, this my sh-t, bow down b-tches

I've Been On, has a sound that we are not use to hearing from Beyonce, but I love it. The song has a futuristic feel, and bey doesn't personally sing in this track, or from what she released we don't hear any singing, but the beat is pretty dope. On this track Bey's voice is chopped and screwed and she definitely lets her Ratchet side out,  it's the same beat thats from her Mrs Carter World Tour promo queen video. The video is below

Thanks Bey for making our St. Patrick's Day a little brighter. These two tracks are now officially on repeat.

While we are waiting on information on her new album, in the meantime you can pick up a copy of SHAPE magazine, Beyonce is on the cover.

Tamar Braxton is pregnant

For those of you who are a fan of the Braxton sisters I have great and exciting news. The youngest sister ( loudmouth, can't take no for an answer) Tamar Braxton is with child. This news definitely comes as a surprise to me, especially since on a previous season of the Braxton Family Values Tamar actually interviewed women in hopes of finding a surrogate mother.

Congrats are in order to Tamar and Vince. I hope these two enjoy the joy of being parents and seeing Tamar as a mama will probably be quite entertaining.

Poetic Justice Braids

ATTENTION EVERYONE, ATTENTION, our lovely Ms. Janet Jackson has been spotted at Milan's fashion week rocking her signature poetic justice braids, looking fabulous as ever.

(Jumbo) box braids have officially been deemed as the Poetic Justice Braids. Janet Jackson was one of the first celebrities to rock this look on the big screen in 1993 and since then the look has been apart of the black community. In the first part of the millennium the "Poetic Justice" braids died down and micro  braids came into style. Over the past year, the braids have resurfaced, and some people have had some negative things to say. I think the braids are awesome, it contributes to the versatility of hair in the black community and I am excited to see the originator rocking the braids once again. Don't be surprised if you see me rocking a set of my own braids in a few months.

Janet with her man "billionaire" Wissam al Mana

Also in recent news, rapper Kendrick Lamar has reached out to Ms. Jackson in hopes of having her make a guest appearance in his music video POETIC JUSTIC. Not only is the track called Poetic Justice, but it also samples parts of Janet Jackson's song ANYTIME ANYPLACE.

Kendrick reached out to Janet by saying, "Janet, c’mon, Janet! No paperwork with the managers, contact the managers. This is artist to artist. This is a young boy that looked up to you for years. Please, yeah, video, Janet Jackson ‘Poetic Justice.’ It’ll only be right.

Unfortunately Janet did not want to participate in the video and left Kendrick hanging. I personally wish she would have appeared in the video, but hey  I guess she had her reasons not too.

TLC Biopic

The time has finally arrived ladies and gentlemen, the hit 90s group TLC ( our AINT TO PROUD TO BEG girls) will finally have their very own biopic. The movie will be produced through the hit televisions station VHI and will be given the titled of (CRAZY, SEXY, COOL: The TLC Story)

The original group members were singer Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and singer Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. Left Eye passed away in 2002 due to a car accident. TLC was known as the girl group who were not afraid to push the limits. The limits were pushed through their crazy outfits and their explicit song lyrics.

The cast for the movie has finally been pick and will consist of rapper and (VMA stage crasher) Lil Mama as Left Eye, Keke Palmer as Chilli and actress Drew Sidora (The Game) as T-Boz.

T-Boz and Chilli stated they did not want well known actress portraying them in the film and perferred if the cast members were well known but not to big.

I ADORE TLC, they were the first girl group I obsessed over. Before their was Destiny's Child there was TLC. I remember growing up me, my sister, my god sister Mekia, and extended cousin Robyn played TLC and we always fought over who would play which group member.

One of the first sexual songs I listened to when I was younger was TLC's RED LIGHT SPECIAL. I was so curious as a young girl and really wanted to know what was the true meaning of this song. I eventually found out and to this day it's still a favorite song of mines. I am excited for the bio pic and can't wait to see what these fabulous ladies bring to the big screen, especially (Lil Mama) she better bring it or else the critics are going to eat her ALIVE.

Kate Lanier of “Glitter” fame wrote the script and Charles Stone III (“Drumline”) will be directing the biopic. No word on release the release date, so in the mean time we will now have to wait.

Betty and Coretta

To kick off the beginning of Black History Month 2013, Lifetime will air the movie Betty and Coretta. The premiere of the film brings a huge smile to my face. This is a story that needs to be told. It elaborates on the women that stood behind the activist men that we knew.

This movie focuses on two wives and how they deal with the assasinations of their husband. Coretta Scott King and Dr Betty Shabazz.

Coretta was the late wife of The Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr and Betty was the wife of Malcom X. When Malcom was assassinated Coretta came to her side and together they struggle to continue on their husband's legacy.

Coretta Scott King is played by Angela Basset while the role of Dr Betty Shabazz is played by R&B singer Mary J Blidge. Both of these women tell a story about how they continued to fight for what their husbands believed in while also being single mothers.

Their husband might have been killed but their IDEAs continue to thrive on. This movie displays the power of friendship and shows just how strong a woman can be when she is faced with adversity. Be sure to watch the movie tonight on lifetime at 8pm eastern time, 7pm central time, and 6pm mountain time.

I hope you guys enjoy the movie, and learn a few things about these 2 great women. Watch the preview and check out more pictures from the movie below.

COUNTDOWN 2 TOUCHDOWN

This week has been a very busy one for Grammy award winning artist Beyonce Giselle Knowles who has been busy preparing for the half time of the 2013 SUPERBOWL in which she will be performing. I honestly do not care about the game and will only be watching it for the commercials and to watch my girl Beyonce kill the halftime show.

The location of this year's game will be in NEW ORLEANS aka THE BIG EASY aka NAWLINS. New Orleans is my second favorite city behind my hometown, only because it reminds me so much Mobile, Al. Those similarities include, New Orleans being a port city, Mardi Gras, and the French exterior of Downtown. The game will be played in the New Orleans Saints SUPERDOME (WHO DAT) I wish the saints were playing, but I'll definitely take a performance by Beyonce instead.

This event will be very big for bey,  because people who are not a fan of hers or who don't usually watch her performances will get glimpse at QUEEN BEY herself. The football lovers will soon be Bey Fans (I'm just putting that out there). Throughout the week Bey and her team have been posting pictures of the rehearsal via facebook and instagram. It is obvious that Bey and her team are working hard so that they can put on a good show for the American people

Check out the NFL players singing their favorite Beyonce songs

I am excited to see what Beyonce has in store for us, she never fails to entertain. I plan on spending SuperBowl night with some new friends I have met here in El Paso, I hope they are ready to see me act a fool once Beyonce hit that screen the night of February 3rd.

There is also something else I would like to address and that would be the (rumors) that Beyonce was lip singing during her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration of President Barack Obama.

My response is simple

Yes Bey did lip sing and she admits it in the video below at the superbowl press conference.  I do know the voice that I heard on January 21, 2013. was the voice of Beyonce and thats all that matters. I do not understand why some people are so upset and think that it is such a big deal. No money was spent out of our pockets to hear her sing, so the haters need to have a seat. Beys response to this drama is displayed in the picture below (CAN I LIVE )

oh and she also responded with singing the national anthem live on jan 31, 2013 at the superbowl press conference check her out

Check out a SNEAK PEEK of what Bey has in store for us the night of February 3rd, 2013.

Destiny's Child new 2013 *single* NUCLEAR

My favorite girl group is back at it. After an 8 year hiatus from the music industry DC3 has returned. I am overjoyed that my girls are back. I grew up with these ladies, I remember the days when me, my sisters,  and friends, use to play Destiny Child when we were younger and I had to fight for the right to play Beyonce. (YALL KNOW I HAD TO BE THE STAR OF THE SHOW).

They really tried to make me play Kelly (who I adore).  I was tall and dark skinned therefore I was given all of Kelly's parts but I was not having. No offense for not wanting to play her, but we all know BEYONCE had all the parts so I had to steal the spotlight.

The newly released single has been given the song title  NUCLEAR and was produced by Pharrell. The track has an early 90s feel, which happens to be an era of music I enjoy.

The group is set to have an album released Jan 29, 2013 entitled LOVE SONGS. Unfortunately the album has a slight twist, it is a mixture of old and new tracks. I really wish it was all new material, but at this point I will take what I can get. Check out Destiny's Child newest single below. This is also the song they are set to perform at the SUPERBOWL. I'm in love with the year of 2013 already, I can not wait to see what Beyonce has in store for us.
