Rihanna "Needed Me" music video

I will keep it real and be honest. Originally I was not feeling Rihanna's ANTI album. I skimmed throughout it and thought it was alright, but after attending the Rihanna ANTI concert in Brooklyn I had a change of heart. Many of the initial songs that Rihanna performed I was not familiar with and I realized they were the songs off the ANTI album. Of course this would be the case since the tour was called ANTI. After the concert I decided to re listened to some of the songs on the ANTI album and discovered there were some pretty good songs that I was feeling such as "Sex With Me" "Kiss It Better" and "Needed Me". As you can see, I have a thing for the sexual songs. Pass all the judgment you want.

Okay so here's my 5cents on the music video. I LOVE IT, because Rihanna is in her own lane and she's doing something other female artists aren't doing and that's keeping it ALL THE WAY REAL. In this music video there is a scene Rihanna moves in slow motion with an intense stare while rocking a bob cut and wearing an African necklace. This look is a dead giveaway that she's overcome with emotion and is seriously plotting something big. Throughout the music video she walks through a strip club holding a gun and you're saying to yourself, what is the purpose of this, but then you remember that it's Rihanna who is a 28 year old black woman from Saint Michaels Parrish, Barbados who literally DOES WHAT SHE WANTS and I'm so here for it. In the end she ends up shooting some man (I'm assuming the person she says NEEDED HER " and the video ends.


Basically in Needed Me Rihanna sings about a man who wants more than SEX. Rihanna is not here for it and basically sings about how she's a heart breaker and a SAVAGE.

Rihanna's new INTENSE video *B*itch Better Have My Money*

I have to give it to Rihanna, she really has come a long way since her PON DE REPLAY days. Recently she released her music video to her smash hit "B*tch Better Have My Money"

The video really does go there. She literally lives up to what she's singing about. I never really paid attention to the fact she really did say "your wife in the backseat of my brand new foreign car" until i saw the man's wife in the backseat of the car BUTT NAKED. I immediately said to myself damn Rih Rih was not playing. The video shows a woman who's seeking Revenge, she legitimately wants her DAMN MONEY and will do whatever it takes to get it.

Why can't a female show off her NIPPLES

Society makes me so sick at times with some of it's ridiculous double standards.

Last night the songstress Rihanna Robyn Fenty decided to wear a slightly revealing sheer sequin dress to the CDFA Fashion Awards in NYC . The dress gave off a 1920 ( Great GATSBY) flapper vibe. 

A flapper is a fashionable young woman with the intent of enjoying herself and flouting conventional standards of behavior. Rihanna definitely did just that while also wearing 216,000 Swarovski crystals which was designed by Adam Selman. Her dress was made out of sequin material and was completely see through. The singer wore underwear but decided to ditch her bra and bare it all. Here's the revealing dress

I am currently writing this blog in underwear and no bra ( I'm also at home and just showered and it's 100 degrees outside ) but if I wanted to wear a dress similar to what Rihanna is wearing I feel that I am entitled to do such a thing. 

The human body is BEAUTIFUL ART when it is kept in a healthy natural looking state. Our bodies should not be something we are ashamed of. I applaud, admire, and look up to those people who are comfortable in their skin and don't mind showing it off, especially if they are single with no kids. ( Hey why not )

I decided to post this picture of Rihanna on my instagram and my Facebook account without thinking twice about what other people's personal opinions would be about Rihanna's attire. I should have braced myself for all the negative backlash I received about how she was trashy and looked like a slut. Those degrading comments resulted in me defending Rihanna and then it made me think. WHAT IS WRONG WITH RIHANNA SHOWING OFF HER NIPPLES. Men do this all the time in different type of settings, yet if a female does it anywhere outside the bedroom it is considered to be a bad, unclassy, trashy act.

We as human beings especially in AMERICA, have a problem. Why are females scrutinized at a much higher level than males are. Why are we held under the microscope for every little thing that we do, yet the males can get away with doing the exact same thing and no one would think twice about it.

I personally feel like if you're an entertainer, you're single with no kids, why not be free and do whatever the hell you want. As long as you the INDIVIDUAL are comfortable with your actions, that is all that should matter. If a woman wants to show off her cleavage, nipples, and butt why call her out. A man and a woman both have nipples yet its perfectly fine for a man to show is but a woman can't and thats total BS to me. So before you go speaking negatively about someone look at yourself first, reevaluate your own life, and know that obviously this person must feel comfortable with the skin that they are in if they have no problem showing off their body.

At the CDFA Awards Rihanna was awarded the 2014 Fashion Icon Award and I think she was very deserving of it. She wears whatever she wants and is not afraid to take risk.

Hey instagram moderators, are you about to delete this picture of Rihanna that has now been posted on thousands of IG accounts. Good luck with your deleting spree and this goes to show you that exposing a little nipple is not all that bad in the first place, whether that person be male or female.

We have got to do better and stop degrading our women who choose to freely express themselves. Women have done it for thousands of years and will continue to do so. Rihanna keep pushing the limits in the fashion industry, someone has to be brave enough to do so.

Happy Halloween!!! It is the year of 2013, a year that has been tagged as being unlucky. One reason it is considered unlucky is simply because the number 13 is associated with it. The year 2013 is also known as the year of the snake. Today is Halloween, a day that is based around alot unluckiness. Miley Cyrus " the queen of VMA controversy" decided to rock Lil Kim's 1999 VMAs look and she does a great job at pulling it off.

Ellen Degeneres "TOOK IT THERE" she recreate a look that Nicki Minaj did when she appeared on the Ellen Show. This costume was so cool I had to go find live footage of it.

Looks like this Halloween is one that will go down in history, with all the Wild and Crazy costumes I definitely wont forget it. . Rihanna has finally given us the music video to her hit sing POUR IT UP, and boy oh boy did she set that video on fire. The song Pour It Up has officially become a strip club anthem " hence" the words of the verse " Strip clubs and dollar bills still got my money" Rihanna has girls TWERKING ON WATER #NoBasicZone

The video features professional exotic dancers Nicole " The pole " Williams, Candace Cane, and Secret Moneii. Nicole is an absolute beast on the pole, I plan on taking her class when I visit Los Angeles again. Candace brings the sexy and leaves you wanting more. Secret Moneii has a derrière that leaves you speechless.  In the video Rihanna also holds her own against the professionals and bends it over and twerks a few times along with working the pole. Originally I honestly love the video and Rihanna. I secretly am a bad girl and Rihanna gives me that opportunity to let the wild side out. Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2012

 

Victoria Secret 
provides many women with the opportunity to be BEAUTIFUL, SEXY, AND CONFIDENT. The SuperModels also known as Angels all possess these three qualities. Every year as it nears near the annual fashion show I get super excited to watch some of the most beautiful girls that the world has to offer work the VS runway. I get to live out my dream through them and imagine that, that's me  strutting on that runway of GLITTER. As a a young girl growing up in America, I saw Victoria Secret a lot from the catalogs to the stores in the malls. I also got my first glance of the organization through its tantalizing commercials. The VICTORIA SECRET commercials are one of a kind so sexual and sensual. I actually use to call Victoria Secret my store because it had VICTORIA in it and that's my middle name. I thought I was the only one with Victoria in my name. Even as an adult I still feel a special connection to that store, I might even name one of my daughters Victoria. 

Victoria Secret was founded by Roy Raymond in the year of 1977 in the city of San Francisco. Roy initially started the company because of a previous shopping experience where he felt embarrassed purchasing lingerie for his wife at a department store. His initial strategy was to sale lingerie to male customers, but after Limited Stores took over the company they changed the company's strategy and focused primarily on selling to female customers. 

The company started its annual VICTORIA SECRET FASHION SHOW in 1995. The initial viewing was done through webcast and these cast turned out to be a complete failure. On December 4, 2012 Victoria Secret aired its 17 viewing of the VSFashionShow and it was a success. Although the showed aired in December it was originally held in New York City in early November. The showed featured 6 themes which were Circus, Dangerous Liaisons, Calendar Girls, Pink, Silver Screen Angels and Angels in Bloom. The show also featured 3 performers who each performed 2 songs. Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Justin Beiber all performed. I was so stoked to see Robyn Fenty on that runway doing her thing. 

Okay now its time to talk about the main attraction. THE FASHION SHOW. The very first theme of the 2012 show was CIRCUS

The Lucky Angel who was given the opportunity to start the show was none other than the RING MASTER herself Adriana Lima. She is one of my favorite Angels and has been apart of the VS family since 2000. This Brazilian beauty has some of the most hypnotizing eyes known to mankind.

I love this entire design, from the knee high boots to the high waisted panty, this particular outfit screams POWER AND CONTROL and they had the perfect Angel to wear it.

The second theme of the show was Dangerous Liaisons. I honestly did not understand this theme. Rihanna performs and she sings #DIAMONDS the first model comes out and proceeds to do a nice slow, sexual, and sensual walk. The entire time Rihanna performs she flirts with the girls. 
My favorite look was Isabeli, she killed the BLACK AND WHITE look.

The third theme was CALENDAR GIRLS and Bruno Mars was the performer. During this particular walk each girl wore a lingerie themed outfit that represented each month of the year. As I was watching the girls walk I realized that there was no representation of NOVEMBER. My initial reaction was, WOW Victoria Secret completely skipped November. Could they not think of anything for that month.  I'm sure they could have came up with a sexy turkey or pilgrim outfit, only Victoria Secret can make something average into something ultra sexy. I also considered the possibility that maybe Miss November tripped and fell and got edited from the show. Thanks to one of my friends ( Chanelle ) who reminded me about the Native American issue. The November Angel wore a Native American headdress which members of this culture found to be offensive. Only the males are designated to wear this particular item within the Native American culture. In other news, Miss New Years was missing her hat and was hesitant to walk but she pulled it off while grabbing her hair while working the runway  Here's the lost ANGEL (Karlie Kloss).

The Fourth theme is PINK. This particular portion of Victoria Secret caters to young, and college age females. The undergarments are not as sexy as the items in the VS Incredible and VS Body collection. Justin Beiber was the performer during this segment. The pink runway was set up like a pin ball slot machine and as always this portion of the show is full of color and cute lingerie and I love it. My favorite look was from the British model JOURDAN DUNN she was dressed in attire that resembled a robot. She capped her walk off with actually doing robotic moves at the end of the runway and KILLED IT. That could have definitely gone wrong but definitely worked in Jourdan's favor.

The last theme of the 2012 show was ANGELS IN BLOOM. The ladies portrayed different types of flowers, and looked hot while doing so. Rihanna performed one final time and graced us with a performance of a song which I'm sure will be her next single PHRESH OFF THE RUNWAY. Towards the end of the song Rihanna does her runway walk down the glittery array that lies before her and knocks the walk out of the park. My favorite look of this theme was the petal parasol look portrayed by Jasmine

The Victoria Secret Fashion Show is the most glamorous show that any model can partake in, and is considered an honor.OVERALL I think there could have been more black girls. It would be nice to see Victoria Secret a bit more diverse.
